I am PhD student and also a member of the Cognitive and Connectionist Systems Lab.
I graduated from Multimedia University, Malaysia with a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology.
Before coming to Australia for my postgraduate studies, I was working as a software engineer in Penang,
a northern state in Malaysia, which is also the place I was borned and grew up.
My research is about Cognitive Information(Data) Fusion, in which I am trying to enhance the exisitng fusion algorithms based on human cognitive processing techniques.
Particularly, the research is looking at the methods of combining different sources(modes) of information(data) in terms of the different abstractions level.
Moreover, the research is applied in the domain of crime, espcially crime profiling. Crime data shows the characterstic of multi-modality
and crime profiles involves human cognitive thinking. Therefore, I am also trying to investigate how Cognitive Information Fusion
could be useful for profiling crimes.
