Centre for Organisational and Social Informatics (COSI) proudly announces the following two combined special events:
COSI's Official Launch and Cocktail Party
* Multi-story car-parking is available next to Building H - access is from Princes Avenue off Sir John Monash Drive (please note parking fees do apply at all times).
Official Launch
The official launch of COSI will be conducted by Professor Edwina Cornish, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, Monash University.
A toast to the newly appointed Emeritus Professor Don Schauder will be proposed by Mr Ross Gibbs, Director General of the National Archives of Australia.
The Jean Whyte Fund will be launched. The Fund supports research in librarianship and archives and is sponsored by a bequest from Jean Whyte who was the foundation Professor of Librarianship at Monash.

- Building research partnerships with communities - shifting paradigms: from community research subjects to community research partners
- Negotiating mutual rights in research data - ownership, privacy, copyright, access, IP
- Protocols and ethics - What constitutes ethical community research? How might communities be better engaged with university ethics regimes?
- The transformative nature of community-centred research.
