Postgraduate coursework and research degrees

Postgraduate scholarships up to A$14,000

Apply for our many available postgraduate scholarships, such as the Postgraduate Domestic Merit scholarship or the International Merit scholarship both up to the value of A$7000 per annum. All eligible students will be automatically assessed for this scholarship.

The Faculty of IT offers the following postgraduate courses to new students:

Master of Business Information Systems

  • 1.5 years course duration for applicants with previous studies in Business Information Systems who wish to receive one semester of credit transfer
  • 2 years course duration for other applicants

Master of Data Science

  • 1 year course duration for applicants with a four-year Australian honours degree in a cognate discipline relating to IT
  • 1.5 years course duration for applicants with previous studies in a cognate discipline relating to IT
  • 2 years course duration for other applicants

Master of Information Technology

  • 1.5 years course duration for applicants with previous studies in Technical IT who wish to receive one semester of credit transfer
  • 2 years course duration for other applicants

Master of Networks and Security

  • 1.5 years course duration for applicants with previous studies in Technical IT

Graduate Diploma in Data Science

Pathways to research degrees

If you do not meet the entry requirements for a research degree, the Faculty offers a range of coursework programs which may serve as a pathway to a research degree. These selected courses include an option to undertake a significant research component which subject to academic entry requirements provides a pathway for admission to a research degree.
