Undergraduate academic requirements

Incomplete tertiary study (transfer from other institution or other Monash course)

To be considered for entry into the courses of the Faculty of Information Technology, you should meet the requirements specified below.

Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems Successful completion of year 11 Maths - Units 1 and 2 - from General Mathematics or Mathematical Methods (either)

Pass average (50% or above) in at least one semester full time study.  Year 12 ENTER score will also be considered.

Bachelor of Business Information Systems Successful completion of year 12 Maths (any) - Units 3 and 4 - with a score of at least 25 Credit average (60% or above) in at least two semesters' full time study.  Year 12 ENTER score will also be considered.
Bachelor of Computer Science Successful completion of year 12 Maths - Units 3 and 4 - with a score of 20 for Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics, or a score of 35 for Further Mathematics Credit average (60% or above) in at least two semesters' full time study.  Year 12 ENTER score will also be considered.
Bachelor of Software Engineering Successful completion of year 12 Maths - Units 3 and 4 - with a score of 20 for Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics, or a score of 35 for Further Mathematics Credit average (60% or above) in at least two semesters' full time study.  Year 12 ENTER score will also be considered.
Bachelor of Business and Commerce / Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems Successful completion of year 11 Maths - Units 1 and 2 - from General Mathematics and/or Mathematical Methods (either) Credit average (60% or above) in at least two semesters' full time study.  Year 12 ENTER score will also be considered.


Admission to Monash is based on competitive selection.  In order to assess, compare and differentiate between candidates, scored or graded results are required.  For example: (a) Numerical results; (b) graded results such as High Distinction (HD), Distinction (D), Credit (C); or A, B, C etc.
