How to apply for a research degree
Application and admission information varies with the course you wish to undertake, however the following information and sites may be useful for reference. For information specific to your needs please email Research Services.

Select a topic/reseasrch area
Before you apply for a Research degree you will need to:
- Decide on a research topic and prepare a research proposal that will need to be attached to your application.
To search for a research topic, please read Research Strengths.
- Make enquiries with at least one of our schools listed below regarding your area of interest and possible supervisor(s):
A listing of research degrees supervisors and their research areas is also a useful reference.
Prepare application materials
Application forms:
- for on-campus Masters (Australian citizens and permanent residents only) contact the faculty office by sending an email to Research Services.
- for on-campus Masters (International applicants)
- for off-campus Masters
- for PhD
With your application you will need to supply certified copies of:
- evidence of prior degree completion (specifically demonstrating research background)
- academic transcripts
- resume of any relevant work experience
You will also need to show evidence of satisfactory language requirements if English is not your first language.
Submit application
Applicatons can be lodged at any time of the year.
