"I have always been interested in IT and chose the Bachelor of Software Engineering because of its accredited status with Engineers Australia and range of core units which includes both hardware and software. My goal is to become a project manager and as well as the technical aspects, we also cover business and team-based skills which will be a great asset in our working lives.
"The Industry Based Learning Program was another huge draw for me when I found out it had recently been added to both the Software Engineering and Computer Science degrees at Monash University. This program enables students to undertake a work placement to get a feel for what our working lives will be like after university, while also making contacts within the IT industry.

"I first heard about Monash University in a school assembly when I was in Grade 9. At that time I was not aware of Monash University but became more interested when I saw in a university ranking website that it held the 2nd ranking position on the list of all Australian universities.
