IT lecturers selected for VC's Showcase of Teaching Excellence

Information Technology lecturers Jason Ceddia and Sylvia Tucker have been selected, from a large number of applications, for the Vice-Chancellor's Showcase of Teaching Excellence at Monash, to be held in December 2005

Their contribution, which will involve a presentation and demonstration, is titled `Managing and Assessing Group Work', and is based on their work on the Industry Experience projects for third-year students in the Bachelor of Computing.

Associate Professor Graham Farr, Head of the Caulfield School of Information Technology, has expressed his congratulations to Jason and Sylvia. He said: 'It is further recognition of their outstanding contribution to IT education, especially IE projects, at Caulfield over many years.

As well as the VC's showcase, Walkabout Learning  has also been accepted for the HEPCIT Showcase of exemplary online teaching, 3rd November at Clayton: "Implementing student-centered learning: Moving beyond lecture notes online."
