New Heads of School of IT Monash Malaysia and Monash SA

I am delighted to announce that Professor Lee Poh Aun has taken over as Head of the School of Information Technology in Monash Malaysia for a two-year term. I am also delighted to announce that Dr Jacques Steyn has taken over as Head of the School of Information Technology in Monash South Africa for a one-year term.

On behalf of the Faculty, I would like to thank Professor Ian Prince who has has been Acting Head of the School of Information Technology in Monash Malaysia and Ms Judy Backhouse who has been Head of the School of Information Technology in Monash South Africa for their outstanding contributions to the Faculty. I wish them every success in the directions they are now pursuing with their careers. Ian has resumed his role as full-time Head of the School of Engineering in Malaysia , and Judy has returned to academic activities and work on her PhD. For both Ian and Judy, their terms of office extended well beyond the terms for which they gave an initial commitment, and I am most grateful to them for their work on behalf of the Faculty.
